That’s hot: the new highlights by RADIUS DESIGN
They appear to hover on the wall or glow in a room, are absolutely stylish, strictly functional and give off warmth and magical light during long evenings: the home flame collection by RADIUS DESIGN. The successful products in what is now an extensive range are now available in a new high gloss stainless steel version, with which the designer and company boss Michael Rösing gives his creations an even more refined touch.
By day, polished stainless steel and clear safety glass create a formidable duo. When darkness falls, however, and the warm, gentle light, and the fascination of fire touch all the senses, even purists feel contented. Because the entire high gloss finish, for example of wall flame, reflects the sea of flames, thereby doubling the exciting effect.

What exactly is the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany?
It is regarded as the Oscar of design prizes, and is awarded only to the crème de la crème: the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany. The award is the highest official German prize in the filed of design. No other design prize makes such demands on its candidates. A company can only participate in the competition for the coveted trophy if its products have already won national or international prize. Furthermore the product has to be nominated by the economics ministries and senators of the federal states or by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. The prize is awarded by the German Design Council on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

Whether an entry is a hit or a miss is decided by an internationally renowned ten-man jury appointed for four years by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. In total a maximum of 20 competition entries can be awarded the Design Prize in Silver, and 5 in Gold. Last year the Gold medal winners included the BMW G650 motorcycle.
