Shining: Really sets the mood for lighting!
Shining, the successful luminaire by ABSOLUT LIGHTING, conjures up enchanting shadow plays for walls and ceilings. Designer Peter Buning invites us to take a dream journey with the fascinating interplay of light and shadow. Brussels and Bombay, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Versailles or Washington: Where shall we go? The different patterns on the luminaire’s glass lampshades generate the seven motifs, which are reflected onto the surrounding space when the light is on.
Glass and steel are the cool materials with which Shining scores points, yet as soon as the light falls on the wall or ceiling, it becomes romantic. ABSOLUT LIGHTING has yet again demonstrated a feel for trends. We encounter pattern upon pattern in fashion and design which make our world more attractive and more interesting. And not to forget: Shining is a winner! It received a “nachlux” award, the European innovation competition for lighting.

That’s why Made in Germany!
A symbol of quality known the world over: Made in Germany. Although the seal is not patented, numerous court judgments clearly set the term apart. Because it stands exclusively for quality products which are produced in Germany. At RADIUS DESIGN and ABSOLUT LIGHTING, it is above all also the people who vouch for the perfect production of the goods they make who are behind this.
These people at the manufacturing plant in Brühl even put their name to the product and its origin. For every luminaire, every indoor and outdoor product in the range is the responsibility of one specialist employee. From the delivery of the parts to the final inspection, an employee personally watches over the various production stages. The individual parts which are delivered, for the Shining luminaire too, of course, are thoroughly checked as soon as they are past the gate. Only flawless screws, sockets, joints and other components reach the assembler’s table. He meticulously assembles the numerous parts (some products have up to 353!) by hand. Before it is packed, each item naturally goes through a final inspection, before it is at last able to make its way to the client. This multilevel control system guarantees that each product is extraordinary in its workmanship, function and form. And that without the price rocketing into the luxury class.
